“virmire is a lush frontier world, ideal for colonization by carbon-based species. Its vast seas and orbital position on the inner life zone have created a wide equatorial band of humid, tropical terrain.”
“All I’ve ever wanted was to escape. I don’t know who I am free.”
Jack looked down at the floor of Miranda’s office, waiting for the puzzled woman to reply - also wishing she could fall through the floor itself. Jack hated soft stuff nor was she any good at it. “I feel like I’ve been chained all my life. Even when I was free .. I wasn’t. No matter who I was with they always thought I was their property. Property doesn’t have any rights to freedom. But then again, property doesn’t use it’s biotics to crush it’s owners stupid ass.” Jack paused, she also hated letting people know she was hurting, especially Miranda. It was a few more minutes before Miranda finally spoke; “but you’re not property are you? You’re a human, like me and like Shepard. You have the right to be free Jack, use it.” Jack snarled “Don’t tell me what to do cheerleader.” Bringing her head upwards, Jack noticed a different look placed upon Miranda’s face: one more caring, maybe even loving. It made Jack want to put her biotics to use and smear the walls with her - but - it also made Jack want to grab Miranda and hold her tightly as if she had no intention to ever let go. “Don’t fight me Jack. I know you. I want to know you even better. And believe it or not, it hurts me to see you like this. Your past was rough. But you just have to accept it wasn’t me who done what those horrible people done to you. Cerberus is not a small group of people. You know the crew wouldn’t hurt you Jack. Stop blaming me for it. And let me get to know you.” Jack began to walk slowly towards her, her own biotics beginning to fluctuate as a result of her frustration. “Fuck, Miri. Who would of guessed I’d fall in love with someone who represents the bullshit I want to wipe off of the surface of every known planet. Just my luck, hey?” Miranda’s eyes widened and a small smile appeared on her face. “Love?” She said, now grinning, “who said anything about love?” Jack clenched her fists and gave Miranda a disapproving look, “Fuck you.” Miranda let out a quiet giggle “You love me? That’s a strong word you just let slip, I don’t know what to say.” She was now smirking. “What’s so funny?” groaned Jack, her biotics fluctuating once again, but more aggressively. “Pick every word apart but I mean’t what I -.” She was interrupted by Miranda placing her hands on her tattooed waist. “I said: I didn’t know what to say. Not that I didn’t know what to do. Now shut up and kiss me.” Miranda placed a gentle kiss on Jack’s lips. Jack was smiling - she never did that. She hates soft stuff, but damn did she love this.
You recognized that he was brutally tortured in the line of duty by an abomination and untold horrors, while he was still pretty new to the Order and pretty young.
You recognize that Cullen was compliant in some pretty horrible things with the Templar Order and Knight-Commander Meredith in Kirkwall.
You recognize that he eventually realized the Templar Order he had wanted to be a part of since he was a young boy is no longer the Templar Order he is a part of while he’s in Kirkwall.
You recognize that Cullen willingly left the Templar Order, knowing full well that to quit taking lyrium is likely a death sentence.
